Planning to celebrate with fireworks? Fireworks laws vary by jurisdiction. Before using fireworks, check the legal discharge hours where you live.

Consumer Fireworks Discharge Hours

City of Bonney Lake July 4 • 9:00 a.m. – Midnight
City of Edgewood July 4 • 9:00 a.m. – Midnight
City of Milton Consumer fireworks prohibited
Town of South Prairie July 4 • Noon – July 5 • 1:00 a.m.
City of Sumner July 4 • Noon – Midnight
Unincorporated Pierce County July 4 • 10:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m.

Please note: The hours above apply to consumer fireworks where they are legal. Fireworks laws vary by jurisdiction and may include additional restrictions on the types of fireworks that may be possessed or discharged. Refer to your local city or county regulations for complete requirements.

Reporting Fireworks Complaints

FireworksReport.com is available from June 28 at 6:00 a.m. through July 7 at 6:00 a.m.

Use FireworksReport.com to report fireworks complaints or violations when there is no immediate threat to life or property.

If your location is not eligible for online reporting, you’ll be directed to the appropriate non-emergency phone number.

When to Call 911

Call 911 immediately if fireworks cause:

  • A fire
  • A serious injury
  • An immediate threat to life or property
  • Another emergency requiring an immediate response

Do not call 911 solely to report fireworks noise or fireworks complaints.
