30th Annual Open House

Join East Pierce Fire & Rescue for our 30th Annual Open House! This free community health and safety fair will feature hands-on activities, firefighter demonstrations, safety information and fun for the whole family.

Event Highlights

• Live Jaws of Life demonstrations
• Junior Firefighter Challenge
• An up-close look at Ladder 113 and Marine 122
• EPFR Technical Rescue, Wildland, HazMat and Water Rescue teams
• Antique fire engine display
• Children’s Fire Safety Trailer
• Interactive rope rescue
• Free face painting
• Meet Sparky, Smokey Bear and McGruff the Crime Dog
• More than two dozen interactive booths, displays and activities

Helmets and Life Jackets

Bicycle helmets, multi-sport helmets and life jackets will be available for purchase:

• Bicycle helmets: $11 plus tax
• Multi-sport helmets: $13 plus tax
• Life jackets: $19 plus tax

Children’s and adult sizes will be available while supplies last. The person using the helmet or life jacket must be present for proper fitting.

Flu Shots

Safeway will offer flu shots during the event. Insurance billing or payment by debit or credit card will be available.

Food and Drinks

East Pierce Professional Firefighters Local 3520 will provide free ice cream, popcorn and cotton candy.

Food and drinks will also be available for purchase from:

• Doty’s Good Eats: Philly cheesesteaks and gourmet beef hot dogs
• BeanWater Espresso

Parking and Free Shuttle Service

Park at the Bonney Lake Park-and-Ride, located at 184th Avenue East and State Route 410, and take the free round-trip shuttle to Headquarters/Station 111.

Shuttle service will be provided by Sound Transit and the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District.
