Congratulations to all the recruits from Class 2023-1 who recently graduated from the firefighter academy!
The recruits are now working through EPFR’s post-academy training before receiving shift assignments in a few weeks.
Special shout out to the following EPFR recruits for receiving awards:
- Valedictorian: Timothy Haley
- Chief’s Company: Robert Dixon and Nathan Rasmussen
- Most Improved: Caitlyn McKenzie
- Outstanding Recruit: Jason Wonio
A total of twenty recruits, 11 from EPFR, seven from Graham Fire & Rescue, and two from Orting Valley Fire & Rescue, comprise the joint firefighter recruit academy.
