Label your container with a biohazard sticker, or with the words “Sharps — Do Not Recycle” if not already marked.
-
Drop sharps needle-first into the container.
-
Add sharps until the container is 3/4 full. Do not overfill.
-
Secure the lid or cap tightly on the container and tape it closed.
-
Take sharps containers to a free disposal site.
