We train monthly in Puget sound, Lake Tapps, or one of the smaller  surrounding lakes or ponds. All of our divers use AGA masks and hardwire communications when doing formal training and emergency response. We are primarily rescue divers and support the Pierce County Sheriff Department's dive team in recovery operations. We also assist local Fire and Police departments through mutual aid agreements.

We are currently in the process of converting a retired aid car into  a dive truck. (One of the senior divers has taken on that project). We respond out of two staffed stations, and an unmanned station that houses our pontoon boat. The pontoon boat has dive equipment on board, along with firefighting and EMS equipment. We make use of an Avon inflatable with a small outboard for response on the lakes and ponds not accessible by the pontoon boat.
